In 14, seems like you can block layups/dunk, like it should be. You could set the layup/block (and even shot block) sliders at 99, give every player 99 for blocking and every defensive attribute at 99 - and they would still NEVER block/prevent a dunk.they would never even stop a dunker from getting to the basket - they would ALWAYS get bumped. In Live 08 you could dunk and there was no way to block it or even interrupt/bother it. But that post-spin-dunk thing was the worst!!! The post game was really fun and I still saw some new animations/options I never seen before. Live 08 was pretty responsive (on my PS3), had nice graphics (I actually prefer Live 08's graphics over 14, except for the chicken legs). Here is what Live 08 had over 14 from what I can tell by watching 14 videos: the movement in Live 08 was so much better than 14 (still not perfect, but better), it's like 14 went back to being Live 07 - I wish I knew the reason for this decision. I have been editing it like there's no tomorrow, and after TONS of edits I finally saw a blocked layup: I shot with Parker his teardrop, and then when the ball was in the air, came over CPU Big-Z and blocked it with a REAL layup block animation. I like to take old games and try to save them, sometimes, gives some good challenge. I have been playing some Live 08 recently, just because I was trying to save this game.
